Mangalore: Dr Chuntoor emphasizes on Blood Donation at Health Camp in Bajal

Mangalore, 18 May 2014: At the joint auspices of Nitte University NSS and Bantara Sangh Kankanady ®, free dental, cancer checkup and blood camp was held at St Joseph’s High School, Bajal, here on Sunday May 18.
Nitte University NSS officer Dr Murali Mohan Chuntoor inaugurated the camp here on Sunday morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chuntoor said there is dearth of blood donors than scarcity of blood. Blood donation is the greatest charity that can save lives, said Dr Chuntoor.
Indian Red Cross (IRC) health division speaker Ajay Kumar was the chief guest of the occasion.
Bantara Sangh Kankanady ® president Ramachandra Alva, vice president Navinchandra and Ramesh Shetty were also present.
Vatsala Malli rendered the prayers. Professor Krishna Neeramule compered the programme. The secretary Nagesh Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
Over 35 people voluntarily contributed their blood and over 100 people availed the benefits of dental checkup camp.
