Accident at Mukka claims life of three

Surathkal, May 12, 2014 : An accident between a lorry and rickshaw on NH 66 at Mukka claimed life of three on Monday morning, May 12.
The accident occurred when Sunil (24), auto driver was taking his sister Saritha and her kids Nishmitha (11), Manish (9) to attend function in Padre from Vamanjoor. However when they reached Mukka upon realizing that they had lost the way Sunil took a U-turn.
It is at this time the lorry which was going to Mangalore from Mumbai not only rammed the rickshaw from behind but also ran over them.
The impact was such that Saritha was thrown off from the rickshaw while the others got crushed.
The locals helped in pulling out the bodies of Sunil, Nishmitha and Manish while Saritha was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Surathkal police have registered a case.

Kundapur to Mangalore expressway is the highest accident road in country i guess. if you open newspaper you will get to see only accidents.concerned authority has to take an immediate solution for this.. some accidents can be avoided if proper road rules are followed. | |

May the soul RIP, now a days we can see rash driving (especially trucks and heavy vehicles) in each and every highway. At the moment people (reader)are blaming just roads only. We need to amend the law and impose huge penalty as a compensation (blood money)to the victim from accused driver then only we can reduce such types of accidents. |
