M’lore: Karmbikere - Nature Pond Contaminated; MLA Lobo instructs Civic Body to Plug Drains

Mangalore, 8 May 2014:  MLA J R Lobo on Thursday May 8 visited Karmbikere, a nature-pond located at Jappinamogaru here where sweet water fish were dead in huge quantity owing to contamination of effluents from nearby drains.
 
It posed health hazard at the onset of monsoon which could cause vector-borne diseases.

 

 


 
MLA Lobo instructed the civic body to take early measure in plugging the drains and also take precautions on vector-borne diseases in the locality.
 
Nagendra Kumar, local corporator Praveenchandra Alva, T K Sudhir, Krithin, Walter Lobo, Herbert D’Souza, Steven, Ashwin, John, Chittaranjan and others were present.
