Mumbai: United Canarites Mumbai to felicitate Bishop Dr Gerald I Lobo of Newly-formed Udupi Dioces

Mumbai, May 2, 2014 : United Canarites Mumbai ® will be organizing the grand felicitation programme of Bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo of newly-formed Udupi diocese at Xavier Engineering College ground, near Raheja Hospital, Mahim (West) here on Sunday May 4 at 4.30pm, informed United Canarites Mumbai ® chairman and Model Bank chairman, Aldel Education Trust chairman Albert W D’Souza.

 

Mumbai Archbishop Cardinal Oswald Gracious will preside the programme here on Sunday.

Both Bishop Dr Lobo and Archbishop Cardinal Gracious will offer Holy Mass at the venue on Sunday at 4.00pm, followed by felicitation at 6.15pm.


 
Bharatanatyam maestro Fr Charles Vaz will present variety of cultural shows after the felicitation programme.


 
The various sub-Committees were formed, John D’Silva is heading the fundraising Committee, Walter Buthello is president of food Committee, Lawrence D’Souza Mulund is the president of stage and cultural Committee, Charles D’Cunha is the president of liturgical service Committee, commemorating bulletin and publicity Committee president Lawrence Coelho and Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Henry Lobo are striving for organizing the mega programme.


 
The hundreds and thousands of religious priests, nuns and Christians of undivided Dakshina Kannada origin will attend the mega programme, informed the Committee honorary chief secretary Lawrence D’Souza Kamani.
