Udupi: Technical Students partake in Avishkar - 2014, Innovative Exhibition at Bantakal

Udupi, 26 Apr 2014: It’s indeed noteworthy that the technical students’ innovative minds created the models that are helpful in harnessing nature resources at low cost to meet daily energy needs. The models ought to be housed in a room at the Institute, said Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) mechanical and communications Professor Somashekar Bhat.
Professor Bhat was the chief juror at ‘Avishkar – 2014’ creating science models and exhibition that was organized by the students’ unit of Indian Society of Technical Education at Sri Madwa Vadiraja Technical Institute, Bantakal, near here on Saturday.
Professor Bhat congratulated the students who were fortunate to listen to the inspirational speech from the former Indian President generous Dr A P J Kalam recently.
Sri Madwa Vadiraja Technical Institute governing council secretary Ratna Kumar distributed the prizes to the winners of different competitions.
Devika compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
Twenty-four teams participated in the competitions. Prabhakar and group (first), Preetam and group (second) and Laxman and group (third).
