Mumbai: Professional ethics of Media Trustworthy - Dinesh Amin Mattu

Mumbai, 31 Mar 2014: ‘I am Kannadiga, I am born in Mangalore and grew up in Mumbai. Therefore, I share the bond between my hometown and metro. The freedom of expression is my favorite subject. It’s essential in democracy. I wonder how it’s being misused, in governance, religion and businesses. It’s surprising that by these means, it threatens the national sovereignty and national unity,’ Karnatka CM’s media advisor Dinesh Amin Mattu.
Dinesh Amin was speaking after inaugurating ninth literary cultural convention themed freedom of expression that was organized jointly by Karnataka Sangh Mumbai ®, Karnataka state Kannada and culture department, Bangalore, here on Sunday March 30.
Dinesh Amin further said that professional ethics of media are trust worthy, while the social networking sites created the blunders by sensationalizing the news, Dinesh expressed concern.
The veteran litterateur Dr S G Siddaramaiah presided the two-day literary cultural convention held at Dr M Vishveshwarayya auditorium of Karnataka Sangh Mumbai ® at Mahim, here.
Dr Sunita M Shetty Literary Award - 2014 was presented to renowned literateur Banu Mustaq on the occasion.
Karnataka Sangh Mumbai ® president Prakash G Burde welcomed the gathering. The vice president Dr Bharat Kumar Polipu compered the programme. Malati Chandrakant and Lalita Angady introduced the guests. The honorary secretary Omdas Kannangar proposed vote of thanks.
The cultural troupe of Sai Arts International, Bangalore presented Bharatanatyam dance recital directed by Dr Venkatesh Suvarna. Besides, Chaitali M and group presented the dance shows on the occasion.
