M’lore: Minority Students of Degree & Postgraduate Colleges seek Online Fee Concessions

Mangalore, 26 Mar 2014: The students of degree and postgraduate colleges of entire state belonging to minority community presented a memorandum to Dakshina Kannada (DK) district-in-charge minister Bantwal Ramanath Rai and Congress candidate veteran Bantwal Janardhan Poojary who is contesting in the general elections for LS polls from Mangalore constituency, here on Tuesday March 25, urging them to instruct the backward communities welfare department in issuing an order to apply for online fee concessions for them, just like 2013 – 14 academic year.
The said department has not issued the order for online applying for fee concession to the minority students for 2014 – 15 academic year so far.
It’s applicable to the students of minority community who have income certificate issued by district authorities.
Both minister Rai and Poojary assured the students to take up their issue with the concerned authorities and a order will be issued by them at the earliest.
