Mumbai: BJP Protest at Borivali, against derogatory statement on Narendra Modi by Corporator Santosh

Mumbai, Mar 22, 2014 : BJP activists of north Mumbai on Friday March 21, staged a protest led by organizer Yermal Harish Shetty, to condemn the derogatory statement on PM candidate Narendra Modi statement by Navi Mumbai corporator Santosh D Shetty during LS poll campaign that was held in front of Rajeev Gandhi commercial complex at Moodbidri, Dakshina Kannada district, on Sunday March 16.
The protesters hurled slogans against Santosh Shetty at Chikkuvadi, western suburb of Borivali and carried the effigy of Santosh who has unnecessarily questioned who is the father of PM candidate Narendra Modi and they don’t need learn about Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi family from Santosh Shetty. They advised Santosh not to poke his nose in personal affairs of Narendra, instead mind his own business, cautioned the protesters.
Mumbai Pradesh BJP executive Committee members, South India Mumbai unit former president L V Amin, Rakesh Shetty, Ravindra S Shetty, Suresh Shetty, Siddu Hadtap, Shivanand Dhodigi, Jaya Gowda, and several BJP activists of north Mumbai LS constituency were present.
Moodbidri assistant election officer Dr Ashok has voluntarily registered a complaint against Santosh for breaching Model Code of Conduct, while BJP activists urged the election commissioner to take legal action on him.
The protesters burned the effigy of Santosh by hurling slogans against him.
