Mangalore: A Fitting and Memorable Farewell for 53rd Batch of GNM Students

Mangalore, 22 Mar 2014: A Fitting and a most memorable Farewell Programme for the 53rdbatch of GNM was organized on 17thMarch 2014 at 3 p.m at the Silver Jubilee Hall amidst dignitaries of the Institution. Rev. Fr RoshanCrasta, Assistant Administrator, Father Muller Medical College Hospital was the Chief Guest. Mrs Jasmine Sarita Vas, Principal & Sr. Stella Coelho, Vice Principal along with the faculty members of Father Muller School of Nursing were present for this auspicious occasion.
All the Students of the outgoing batch were welcomed by the 3rd year GNM students as per the Indian culture by marking their forehead with Sandalwood paste & presenting them fresh flowers. The programme commenced with a beautiful prayer dance led by Ms. Thelma & group.


Ms. Athira Thomas welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Jasmine Sarita Vas expressed appraisal towards all the outgoing students for their cherished time in this campus and she wished best of luck to the interns.  A fabulous and inspiring message was given by Fr. RoshanCrasta“You can make a difference in others’lives, whatever others may be”. One of the outgoing students shared her sweet memories of student life in the School of Nursing.  She expressed sincere and heartfelt thanks to all the teachers and all those people who have played a great role in their lives which helped them to reach their destiny.

 


All the outgoing students expressed their joy by singing thanks as a token of their love towards the Institution. There was also an Audio visual display by the outgoing batch on their cherished memories and their life in the School of Nursing. As a token of Love, a memento each was given to the outgoing students by the School of Nursing.


Ms. Snehashared her experience with the seniors and said that they were their back bone in every moment of their life in the school, clinics as well as in the hostel. All the three batches of the School of Nursing expressed their gratitude and thanks to the seniors by presenting a wonderful cultural programme.


Refreshment was served to all gathered. The farewell programme concluded at 5 p.mby singing the Institutional Anthem.
