Mumbai, 19 Mar 2014 : The Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in collaboration with the Blasian Worker Apostolate organized a free legal seminar entitled ‘Deemed Conveyance & Redevelopment’ by the eminent law firm of P Vas & Co, advocates and solicitors at St Blaise School Hall, Andheri (East) here on Sunday March 16. Over 250 people attended the seminar on the occasion.
Fr Franklyn Mathias was the chief guest.
Reliance Group CEO Raphael Sequeira and his wife Clotilda were the guests of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, CCCI founder chairman Vincent Mathais said that CCCI aims to organize such seminars which would enhance the knowledge of the people at large.
Raphael Sequeira said that he was privileged to be present at such an event where knowledge of such magnitude was being imparted to the public at large. He said that CCCI was doing yeoman’s service in organizing such seminars.
Fr Franklyn Mathias lauded the efforts of CCCI in organizing such an event in his parish and hoped that many more seminars would be held here to benefit the public.
The first segment of the seminar was presented by the effervescent speaker, Darryl Vas, partner of P Vas & Co. who exhaustively dealt with the procedure for applying for Deemed Conveyance and profoundly educated the audience on how to tackle and deal with issues that crop up during the procedure of obtaining Deemed Conveyance. The presentation delivered by Darryl Vas was eloquent, succinct and well received by the audience. The second segment of the seminar was presented by the erudite and experienced Pius Vas, managing partner of P Vas & Co. who resourcefully elucidated the fine print of Developers often ignored by Societies in their hasty attempt to redevelop their property. Pius Vas discussed all the dimensions of redevelopment including the commercial and legal aspects and the presentation delivered by him was comprehensive and enlightening.
At the end of the presentation the audience engaged in an active question and answer session and all 5 partners of P Vas & Co: Pius Vas, Genevieve Vas, Darryl Vas, Jason Vas and Fiona Nazareth satisfactorily responded to all the lingering queries of the audience. The entire presentation assuaged the doubts and apprehensions of the audience towards Deemed Conveyance and Redevelopment and effectively delivered on their expectations.
CCCI chairman Henry Lobo welcomed the gathering. Blasian Workers Apostalate president Ivan D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Lara Menezes and Vernon Mathias compered the programme.
