Udupi: Personality and Culture lies in Solving Problems; Minister U T Khader

Udupi, 9 Mar 2014: ‘The life is worth lived if one helps the least in the society to lead life of sustenance. The patriotism gets real meaning while serving the least in the society. The religious and moral education teaches one to live for others. None is free from problems. The personality lies in solving the problem that is our culture, said state health minister U T Khader.
The minister Khader was speaking after inaugurating newly-built Vishwasadamane old age home at Shankarapura, near here on Saturday March 8.
‘Vishwasadamane’ founder Pastor Sunil D’Souza and associates have been doing their yeomen service to bring the poor and downtrodden regardless of caste, creed and religion to the mainstream of society. They try to unite the orphans with their families a noble deed indeed,’ said the minister Khader.
Udupi – Chikmagalur MP K Jayaprakash Hegde was the chief guest of the occasion lauded the humanitarian service of Vishwasadamane.
The state urban and Udupi district-in-charge minister Vinayakumar Sorake unveiled the plaque and commended the charity of Vishwasadamane in caring for destitute. He also announced to donate Rs 10,000 per month.
Udupi MLA Pramod Madwaraj presided the programme and felicitated Mangalore-based renowned psychiatrist Dr Rohan Mendonca for free consultation and nursing supervisor Prema Margaret Karkada at the same occasion.
Madwaraj Suvarna of Narayan Guru Self Employment Training Centre, Padubidri, Kaup entrepreneur Mustaq Ahmed, TP member Pricilla D’Mello, Kote gram panchayat president Prashant Jattanna, village elders, donors were present at the dais.
Katpady Prakash Suvarna compered the programme.
Pastor Joseph Jamakandi delivered the religious message. Prasanna Haleyangady and Vishwasadamane inmates rendered the prayers. Pastor John Stephen Monteiro welcomed the gathering. Preema Lobo read the report.
