Besides Alwyn Lobo, the other office bearers who led the Moodubelle ICYM Unit included: Elvis Lobo-Vice President and Gladson Alva-Sports Secretary. Miss Rinol Rodrigues, Lecturer of Commerce in the Milagres College, Kallianpur and Core Committee Member of the ICYM Unit Moodubelle also attended the Youth Fest-2014 and helped the girls in makeup and dressing for the “Fisher folks Dance”.
All most all parishes of Udupi diocese participated in this Youth Fest, so there is nothing special about Moodubelle.Youth of every parish is in similar situation and so there is nothing new about Moodubelle youth.
Young age is the period wherein every youth needs direction, guidance, motivation so that the enormous energy can be channelled towards positiveness and improvement. Here comes the role of leadership and training. The leaders and elders of society should play constructive role at this stage and they SHOULD BE OPEN FOR NEW IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS.
When a youth is trained and included in decision making process, the youth will learn leadership skills and contribute positively to the society. He or she will also encourage other youth in his surroundings.Confronting youth at this stage will bring harm to everyone. So the elders and the persons who are having power should first listen, then understand so that the energy will be channelled positively.
Sadly this is not happening in Moodubelle parish. The leaders of society do not include youth instead they go with old style of functioning which disappoints and frustrates any youth. It is high time the leaders of Moodubelle leave behind all the bad experiences, bitterness instead encourage youth and then you see the magic.Need to bring back the golden glory of Moodubelle ICYM,can the leaders listen, understand and act positively?
