Mumbai: Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti actively partakes in DK District Bundh

Mumbai, 4 Mar 2014: The metro-based Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (JSKPPS), NGO that has been striving for the integral development of undivided Dakshina Kannada (DK) district actively partaken in the DK bundh that was called by different social welfare and voluntary organizations of entire DK district to protest the foundation-laying ceremony of Yettinahole Project, turning of Netravati River, a lifeline of coastal residents, on Monday March 3.
Coastal lifeline Netravati Rakshana Samiti convener former MLA K Vijayakumar Shetty, local youth leaders P V Mohan, Denis D’Silva, Dinesh holla, Dinakar Shetty, Sasiraj Shetty, Uttam Alva, social activist M G Hegde and others led the protest at Hampankatta circle in Mangalore.
JSKPPS honorary chief secretary Suresh Shetty Yeyyady, undivided DK district president Felix A D’Souza Taccode led the protest along with other office bearers and members.
Addressing the protesters, JSKPPS founder Tonse Jayakrishna said that Yettinahole project is a disaster to the coastal residents, as it would dry off the lifeline Netravati River. It’s the duty of each resident to sustain motherland for prosperity, said Jayakrishna.
