ICYM Diaference 2014 of Mangalore Diocese kicked off with a grand fashion

Mangalore, 17 Feb 2014: ICYM Diocesan Youth Convention organised by ICYM Central Council in Association with Puttur Denary was held at Mai De Deus Church Grounds, Puttur on the 16th February 2014. A crowd of 1500+ Youth from all over the Diocese witnessed this grand Convention.  Most. Rev Henry D’Souza, Chairman Youth Commission Karnataka Region presided over the function. ICYM Diocesan President Sheldon Crasta welcomed the guests. Mrs. Shakuthala Shetty, MLA Puttur Constituency along with the dignitaries inaugurated the Convention.

 Mr. Nalin Kumar Kateel launched the Diocesan website www.icymmangalore.comDesigned by Mr. Vincent Mascarenhas. Mr. Raymond D’Souza, ICYM National Advisor released the Amcho Yuvak magazine. Rev Fr Gerald D’Souza, Vicar Var Eastern Varado, Fr Franklin, ICYM National Director, Fr Ronald D’Souza, ICYM Diocesan Director, Fr Francis Assisi Almeida,Fr Mari Joseph, ICYM Regional Director, Mr Prakash, the Convenor of Diaferencewere present on the Dias. ICYM Varado President Anil Pais Rendered the Vote of Thanks.Mr Raymond D’Souza, ICYM National Advisor was felicitated.Diaference Theme Song was Composed by Kevin Misquith .

 

A Panel Discussion was held on the theme Youth towards Reconciliation & Dialogue. Fr Francis Assisi Almeida, Eastern Denary Director Moderated the session with Fr Franklin ICYM National Director and Fr Ronald Vegias, ICYM Director Shimoga as Resource persons.

The Holy Eucharistic Celebration was Celebrated By Most Rev Henry D’Souza, Chairman of Karnataka Youth Commission and Bishop of Bellary.

Soon After Lunch, Cultural Program “Hasyan Hasuyan” Comedy Competition was held along with Milestone Band Performance. Dolla Mangalore, Nellu Permannur and Mellu Valencia were the Judges for the Comedy Competition.
