Udupi: Parichaya Pamboor Inaugurates Natakotsava with “Madthir Bhagat Singh”

Udupi, 25 Jan 2014: Parichaya, an organization striving to promote native culture, literature, folk-art and music in the rural areas located at Pamboor inaugurated its 3 days long Natakotsava on Friday, 24 January 2014 at the Holy Cross Church grounds, Pamboor. Anil Dsa president of Parichaya was the presided over the stage function.Prof.K.G.Manjunath, professor at M.S.R.S. College, Shirva was the chief guest. Rev.Fr.Paul Rego, parish priest of Pamboor and Prof.Vincent Alva, honorary president of Parichaya were present for the inaugural function.

 

Fedrick saldanha compeered the programme  and welcomed the guests and also spoke about the background of the establishment of Parichaya. Prof.K.G.Manjunath spoke about the need to promote the native  culture, literature, folk-art and music and Fr.Paul Rego blessed the function and wished success.

 

 

Following the stage function, the Konkani drama "Madthir Bhagat Singh" was presented by ’Kalaakul Mangalore’(The only konkani drama training centre in Mangalore). Before the drama was staged, Arunraj Rodrigues spoke about the drama and about Kalaakul Institution. The Drama portrayed the life of Martyr Bhagat Singh who sacrificed his life for the country.
