Mudigere: Konkani Rakaan Sanchalan – Chikmagalur & Hassan celebrates Annual Day

Mudigere, 15 Dec 2013: Konkani Rakaan Sanchalan of Chikmagalur and Hassan organized their annual day celebrations at St Marta School grounds, here on Sunday December 8 evening.

Konkani Rakaan Sanchalan of Chikmagalur and Hassan president Pramod Pinto presided the function here on Sunday evening.

 
Pinto in his presidential address explained the tasks that have been done by Konkani Rakaan Sanchalan in the past many years in fostering Konkani in Malnad region and also briefed on the tasks ahead.

 

 
Konkani Rakaan Sanchalan of Chikmagalur and Hassan honorary president Cyril Rebello explained the need for Konkani speaking community to converse in Konkani with the family at home and also strive for the welfare of other communities in the society.

 
Mudigere – St Antony’s parish Fr Lancy Pinto felicitated Professor Steven Quadros for his Konkani literary contributions.
Konkani Rakaan Sanchalan of Chikmagalur and Hassan – Mudigere unit president Walter Lobo welcomed the gathering.  The organizing secretary Sylvester Saldanha proposed vote of thanks.  Vincent compered the programme.
