Udupi: Ustad Rafiq Khan presents Jugalbandi Musical Concert at Pamboor

Udupi, 13 Nov, 2013 : The synchronized music of Indian classical musicians transpired the audiences to a different world during the concert held at Holy Cross parish auditorium, Pamboor, near Bantakal, here on Sunday November 10 evening.
It was the scene of Jugalbandi – musical concert presented by renowned musicians led by internationally acclaimed sitar maestro Ustad Rafiq Khan, organized by ‘Parichaya Pamboor,’ an organization striving to promote Indian classical music, culture and literature.
The renowned instrumentalists Rajendra Nakod Bangalore, K R Kumar, P K Santosh from Kannur, Kerala, Raghavendra Rangdol from Shimoga, Rajgopal and Ankush Nayak from Mangalore mesmerized the audiences with their scintillating musical concert.
Speaking on the occasion, Pamboor parish priest Fr Paul Rego said that he used to view the similar musical show in TV, but it’s a great experience to witness the live show. Indian culture has a great hierarchy and the show indeed taken him to spiritual bliss. Its only savored by the musical-buffs who have great interest in music.
Fr Rego honored all the musicians by draping the shawl and presenting with a bunch of native jasmine.
Parichaya Pamboor chairman Anil D’Sa Shankarapura, honorary president Vincent Alva, executive Committee member Edward Menezes, Mable Menezes, Madhusudan Rao, Partasarati Kunjarugiri, Violet Castelino, Zenith Noronha, Sarita Alva were present on the occasion.
