M’lore: Bidaar, First Konkani Story Book of Ronnie Arun Released at Kalaangann

Mangalore, 17 Oct 2013: Bidaar, Konkani story book authored by Ronnie Arun was released in a function held at Kalaangann, Makale, Shaktinagar, here on Wednesday October 16 evening. It’s the first ever book authored by Ronnie Arun.
Fr Dr John Fernandes released the book and said, ‘the stories have the message for daily living. Its thought provoking, because the author is able to convey key aspects with a few words’, said Fr Dr John.
Mandd Sobhann Gurkar Eric Ozario was the chief guest, briefed on the personality of Ronnie and conveyed best wishes for his future endeavor.
Ronnie’s wife Clara and son Atul were present on the dais.
The book publisher – Srujana Prakashan chief trustee Vitori Karkal, in his introductory addresss said that Srujana Prakashan has been striving to publish the books of authors, whose works have not been published so far and are up and coming authors. The task does not end there; instead it has to reach the reach the worldwide Konkani speaking community. One should not worry over lack of readership, but make efforts in reaching to the readers. There are potentials for marketing Konknai books using by mobiles and he was able to be successful in this regard, said Vitori Karkal.
He further said that the plans are underway to publish the books authored by J L Manjarpalke, Jossy Pinto Kinnigoli, Ubba Moodbidri, Walter Nandalike, Alwy Danti Pernal, Naveen Kurmbil, Steven Quadros Permude, Melvyn Rodrigues and Andrew L D’Cunha. He was fortunate to get the job of publishing about 1,000 pages novel, Unya Bhavadtachey, authored by Edwin J F D’Souza, added Vitori Karkal.
