Mangalore: State Minister Ramanath Rai Inaugurates Inspire Award Science Exhibition at Pilikula

Mangalore, 21 Jul 2013 :The state minister for forest, environment, ecology and Dakshina Kannada (DK) district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai, inaugurated Inspire Award Science exhibition that was organized by Pilikula Regional Science Centre, here on Saturday July 20.
Speaking on the occasion, minister Rai said that earlier people used to crave for learning science and technology, but they lacked opportunity. The present generation has good environment and many opportunities required for the development. Such kind of exhibition will encourage students in field of science, said minister Rai.
Many competitions are being held in the international level and when the students from DK participate and win in the competition, it is the matter of pride to our district, added minister Rai.
The zilla panchayat CEO Tulasi Maddineni said that DK is district of literates and intellects and working here is the matter of prestige, said Tulasi.
The science model - censored street light’ designed by Class VII student Chaitra of Koyyode Higher Primary School attracted the large audience.
The taluk panchayat president Harish Kumar, MLA Shakuntala Shetty, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) principal Philomena Lobol and others were present on the occasion.
