Udupi: MLA Raghupati Bhat alleges Congress Party Spent Rs 7 Crore on Recent Civic Polls

Udupi, 18 Mar 2013: The recent civic polls results in the district indeed has been a setback to BJP party, while the party activists are urged to winning the forthcoming legislative assembly elections in vengeance to defeat in civic polls, urged district-in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.

The minister Srinivas was speaking in a felicitation programme of elected BJP party representatives in the recently held civic polls of Udupi municipal body here on Sunday March 17.

BJP district president K Udaya Kumar Shetty presided the programme.

 

 
MLA Raghupati Bhat, BJP leaders Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Sudhakar Shetty, Shyamala Kundar, Yashpal Suvarna, Vilas Nayak, Kiran Kumar, Herga Dinakar Shetty were present at the dais.

Udupi town BJP president Manohar Kalmady welcomed the gathering.  Raghavendra Kini compered the programme.

 
Congress spent Rs 7 crore in civic poll campaign:

‘The huge amount of money has been laundered in the civic polls held for municipal body here recently.  Congress party alone has spent nearly Rs 7 crore  in this regard, alleged BJP civic polls overseer MLA Raghupati Bhat.
BJP has not faced defeat due to Congress party spending.  The conflicts within the BJP bosses, poor campaign are responsible for party failure, MLA Bhat expressed displeasure.

‘If Congress wins the forthcoming legislative assembly elections, they are likely to take vengeance on BJP.  In order to avoid this, BJP activists has to be better organized during election campaign and win BJP, urged MLA Bhat.
