Udupi: Dr. Lolita Priya Castelino conferred with Ph.D. Degree

Udupi, 28 Jan 2013: Mrs. Lolita Priya (Lobo) Castelino, hailing from Moodubelle, who completed her Doctoral theses on the topic “A study of harmonious and complete colouring of diagraphs” under the guidance of Prof. S. M. Hegde, Professor of Macs, NITK, Surathkal  was awarded Ph.D. degree by National institute of technology NITK AUTONOMOUS.

 

 

Dr. Priya is the daughter of Mr. Peter and Mrs. Helen Lobo from St. Lawrence ward, Moodubelle.

 

Dr. Priya, was born on 31st March  1983 in Lobo family as a second child. Her elder  sister is Prima D’Souza and younger brother is Adrian Lobo. Dr. Priya completed her primary and high school studies at the Church Aided Higher School and St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School respectively. Later she completed P.U.C (Science) and B.Sc. degree at Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore. Thereafter she completed her M.Sc. (Mathematics) at Stella Maris College at Chennai.

 

During her B.Sc. studies, Dr. Priya  was the topper in Mathematics and she was  awarded for highest scores in Mathematics at Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore.

 

After her studies, Dr. Priya worked as a lecturer in Mount Carmel P.U. as well as Degree College, Bangalore for two years. Later she worked as a teacehr in Little Rock High School, Brahmmavara for one and half years and as a Researcher at National Institute of Technology of Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, Mangalore.

 

 

Dr. Priya is married  to Mr. Naval Castelino of Shankarpura parish on 19th February 2007.
