Udupi: Railway Yatri Sangh welcomes Pune – Ernakulam Train Service

Udupi, 18 Jan 2013: The train service between Pune – Ernakulam halted for the first time here at 9.45am on Friday January 18. It was long-pending demand of Railway Yatri Sangh, in order to facilitate the passengers from the neighbourhood of Udupi to board this train for their onward journey to Pune and Ernakulam.
Railway Yatri Sangh president R L Dias, Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat and others welcomed the train at the station here, by distributing sweets to passengers and others.

It is sad that the efforts putup by Raiway Yatri Sangh Udupi will go waste and our joy will be short-lived.Due to the wrong policy of raiways ( allowing change in passenger details )genuine passengers are deprived of their rights. Only agents/ touts are benefited from this. Within hours of opening of booking it is full....I donot know if the trains are running to its full capacity. | |
