State Funds Insufficient for Bharat Seva Dal; U R Sabhapati

Udupi, 12 Jan 2013: The state funds are insufficient for Bharat Seva Dal, besides the students who involve in Seva Dal activities had to be provided with uniforms and other benefits by the state administration. The allocation funds in the forthcoming budget are essential for Seva Dal movement, urged ALL India Seval Dal convener U R Sabhapati.
Sabhapati was speaking after flagging-off procession during district level national brotherhood students convention at Ajjarakadu grounds, here on Friday January 11 morning.
Udupi district-in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary after inaugurating the convention offered assurances of discussing the Seva Dal issue with CM Jagdish Shettar in order to provide various benefits to members of Seva Dal.
MLA Raghupati Bhat presided the programme.
South School aluimni Association president Amrut Shenoy, Convention Committee president Mahabala Kundar, vice president N Bhojaraj Shetty and others were present at the occasion.
Udupi – Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde inaugurated to concluding ceremony here on Friday evening.
Karkal MLA Gopal Bhandary, MLC Pratapchandra Shetty, TP president Jyothi Poojary, town councilor Kiran Kumar, youth service and sports department assistant director Ramakrishna and others were present.
Over 1,000 members of Bharat Seva Dal from 72 schools from across the district participated in the convention.
Variety cultural programmes were staged by; the students at the occasion.
