Moodubelle: Sachin Nayak of St. Lawrence Eng. Med. School to participate in National level athletics

Moodubelle, 15 December 2012: It is a proud moment to Belle in general and St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Moodubelle in particular as one of its students Sachin B. Nayak has been selected to represent the Karnataka State at the national level athletics meet to be held in Uttar Pradesh.
Sachin had a successful field and track record as he had won first place in 100 meters and 200 meters run and long jump at the at the Taluk level Sports Meet held at Govt. High School, Belapu, under 14 Category on October 3 and 4, 2012. He also won individuals boy’s championship at the Taluk level.
At the District level competitions held at the Mahatma Gandhi District playground in Ajjarakadu on October 10 and 11, 2012 Sachin once again proved his mettle and stood first in 100 meters run and long jump and second position in the 200 meters run. Once again Sachin was declared as the individual champion at the district level.
In the State Level Sports Meet held at Chitradurga from 30 November to 2 December 2012, Sachin won second position in the long jump and was selected to represent the Karnataka State boys under 14 at the national level.
While congratulating Sachin for his brilliant performance, Correspondent Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes and Principal Fr. Lancy Saldanha have expressed their hope that he will do his best at the national level athletics competition as well.

Congratulations! Sachin B. Nayak. A very young boy from the village background getting selected to represent Karnataka State; under 14 categories at national level athletics meet to be held in Uttar Pradesh is commendable.
