Shirva: Condolence meeting held in memory of late Belle Kamalaksha Shenoy

Shirva, 31 Oct 2012: “Along with national sentiments how one should respond to the common people’s sufferings has been exemplified by late Belle Kamalaksha Shenoy. Forgetting his own pain and sorrows, he found happiness in the joys of other people…” said Prakash Ilanthila, editor of ‘Mangalore Hosa Digantha’ while paying emotional tribute to late Belle Kamalaksha Shenoy at Shri Kashmattha Shri Mahalasa Narayani Temple, Shirva on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the ‘Sarvajanika Pushpanjali’ organized in memory of one of the senior RSS worker and well-known elder leader of Shirva late Belle Kamalaksha Shneoy who had recently passed away in a tragic accident.
Lalaji R. Mendon, MLA of Kaup inaugurated the ‘sponsor fund’ that was started by late Belle Kamalaksha Shenoy by distributing scholarships to meritorious poor students from five neighbouring schools. Belle Sadananda Shenoy, the senior Shenoy family member and Taranath Kotian, Chief of Kaup Unit of RSS were on the dais.
The condolence meeting was attended by Raghupathi Bhat-MLA Udupi, Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty, Udupi Zilla Panchyat President-B. Upendra Nayak, Udupi District RSS Sangha Chalak-Shambhu Shetty, Somashekhar Bhat Udupi, Gujjadi Prabhakar Nayak, Keshavaraya Prabhu, RSS Zonal Chief Sudhakar, Udupi Zilla Panchayat member-Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza, Ramakanat Padubidre, Senior Doctor from Shirva-Dr. K.R. Venkatakrishna, Shirva Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava Samithi President-K. Sundara Prabhu, President of Shri Kshetra Bantakallu Temple Administrative Committee-Shashidhar Wagle, President of Rajapur Saraswatha Yuva Vrunda-K.R. Patkar,Patel Sadananda Shetty, Headmaster of St. Mary’s High School-Devendra Nayak, Devdas Jogi Bantakal. Sudhakar Mrala and many other dignitaries.
N. Radhakrishna Prabhu, senior teacher with an introduction read out the condolence resolution. After reciting prayers to the departed soul, floral tribute was paid to the portrait of late Belle Kamalaksha Shenoy.
