Dubai: Grand 6th Anniversary by UAE Ganiga Samaja

Dubai, 11 Jul 2012: UAE Ganiga Samaja celebrated its 6th Anniversary at Dubai Grand Hotel, Bur Dubai.  Mr.Ramachandra Ganiga Kuthpady, Vice President of Ganiga Samaja, Mumbai who was on a private visit to Dubai was invited as Chief Guest of the function along with his family members. The programme was organized on a very short notice with the initiative of Satheesha Venkaramana who took himself the responsibility of inviting all community members through Emails.  He was ably assisted by other members as well namely Vasudeva  Ganiga,  Prasanna Ganiga and Raghavendra Ganiga. The event was presided over by Mr. K.J. GANIGA. Former General Manager, Syndicate Bank assisted by Ramachandra Kuthpady and K.J.Ganiga.  Satheesha Venkaramana, Suresha Ganiga, Arun Ganiga and Dayananda Rao were on the dais. The day long event was attended by more than 90 Ganiga Samaja members which was a great success as though it was held on a very short notice.

 

The programme began at 11.00am with a Prayer to invoke God’s blessings by Mrs. Mamatha Girish followed by lighting of traditional lamp by Mr. Ramachandra Ganiga Kuthpady along with other dignitaries on the dais. Mr. Raghavendra Ganiga welcomed the President, Chief Guest and other dignitaries to the dais and accorded warm welcome to all members.  Mr.Vasudeva Ganiga introduced Chief Guest Mr. Ramachandra Ganiga Kuthpady  to the members gathered and also congratulated him on being recently awarded as ‘ Best Social worker’ along with 10 others by  JAYAKRISHNA PARISARA VEDIKE’, Mumbai.  The award was presented by none other than Mr.Manohar Joshi, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra on behalf of the Vedike. The president of the function & other dignitaries on the dais were introduced by  Mamatha Girish, Raghavendra Ganiga & Vasudeva Ganiga respectively. Mr. K. J. Ganiga in his presidential address requested all the community members to unite so that, Samaja can do some constructive work for the benefit of all the members.

 

The senior members of Ganiga Samaja UAE i.e  Satheesha Venkatramana, Suresh Ganiga, Dayananda Rao and Janardhana Shetty were honored by the Chief Guest with flowers bouquets on behalf of Samaja. This was followed by honoring of recently wed couples as was the tradition of the Samaja and this time the honoured couples were; Lokesh couple, Srinivasa couple,  Bharath couple,  Prasanna couple, Sachin couple, Sureshkrishna couple and Vivek couple. Each couple were invited to the dais and honored with flowers bouquets by Mr. Ramachandra Ganiga Kuthpady.

 

 

The Chief Guest of the day Mr. Ramachandra Ganiga Kuthpady along with his wife Suguna was invited to the dais and Mr. K.J.Ganiga honored them with traditional Shawls, garlands and with a basket of fruits. This was followed by the speech of the Chief Guest. In his address he called upon all the members to strengthen the Samaja to do more social services for the benefit of our community at large. He also recalled how difficult it was to rejuvenate their Ganiga Samaja in Mumbai.  In spite of all odds and non-cooperation by some community members they were successful in strengthening the Samaja which now has its own office and the market value of is more than a one crore now.  He also thanked the organizers for inviting him as Chief Guest of this function enabling him to meet all the members on one platform.

 

Speaking on the occasion the dynamic businessman Mr. Satheesha Venkaramana requested again for the active participation of all the members and keep in touch with each other. He had nominated a few members namely, Harish Shetty, Vasudeva Ganiga, Prasannakumar, Raghavendra Ganiga, Ganesh Ganiga,  Sachin, Sureshkrishna, Ritesh, Mahesh and Bipin as sub-committee members for co coordinating all future activities of the Samaja and keep active contacts with all the members on a regular basis. Mr.Satheesha further stated that if we keep up proper liaison with each other  the Samaja will be able to  help when needed in times of sickness, problems and financial needs.  Further, it will also help members to get involved with children and enhance their talents and create a homely atmosphere.

 

He further announced that Blood Donation Camp by the Samaja is being organized on 6th August, 2012 at Lathif Hospital, Dubai. He called upon all the members to come in large numbers donate blood on the occasion.  It will  also gives an opportunity to be recognized by the local Government authorities which will facilitate the Samaja in getting a Certificate from them.    This will help authorities contact Ganiga Samaja  in future for the blood requirement in case of any emergencies for donation of blood by members.. Mr. Dayanananda Rao speaking on the occasion suggested that should take care of Educational needs of the less privileged people/children of our Community children back home in India, which will go a long way eventually  in improving the economic conditions of poor community members.

 

Cultural programme was followed thereafter which began with Miss. Isha Kuthpady, daughter of Mr. Rajesh Kuthpady Mumbai recited the Shlokas  which was appreciated by all followed by brilliant Dance performances by talented Miss. Niriksha,  Miss.Manya Sathesha  and  Miss. Tanya Satheesha which were thoroughly enjoyed and their talents were applauded by the members.

 

The vote of thanks was evoked by Satheesha Venkatramana followed by a sumptuous Lunch arranged by the Samaja members.
