Mangalore: Dr Norbert Lobo the new President of AMUCT

Mangalore, 02 Jul 2012: Dr Norbert Lobo, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, St Aloysius  College, Mangalore has been unanimously elected as the President of Association of Mangalore University College Teachers’, (AMUCT) for 2012-14. Dr Lobo was the editor of ‘AMUCT Bulletin’.

Election to the posts of New Office Bearers was held at the Annual General Meeting held at Besant Women’s College , Mangalore  on  Sunday, 1st July 2012. Sri Purushothama K.V., Department of Economics. Pompei College, Aikala  was elected as the General Secretary. Sri Charles Pais, Associate Professor,  St Agnes College, Mangalore as the treasurer, Sri Vincent Alva, Associate Professor of English, Milagres College and  Dr Kumara Hegde B.A. Associate Professor of Botany,  S D M College Ujire, as the Vice Presidents, Dr Vamana Baliga, Associate Professor, M.G.M College, Udupi and Dr Vasappa Gowda, Selection Grade Librarian, Besant Evening College, Mangalore were elected as the Joint Secretaries. 

 

Dr Denis Fernandes has been elected as the Editor of AMUCT BULLETIN. Outgoing president Sri Ummappa Poojary presided the business session.
