Udupi: Suresh Kalmadi turns to Nag Deva for help

Udupi, 29 March 2012: The main accused in the Commonwealth Games multi crore scandal Suresh Kalmadi has turned to Nag Deva to come out of the scandal. He will be conducting a grand Nagmandal Seva in his native place Kalmadi in Udupi from 11th to 14th April 2012. CBI is investigating the scandal on the illegal purchase of sports equipment worth more than 95 crore rupees for the Commonwealth Games conducted in 2011.

 

 

 
The main accused of this scandal is Commonwealth Games Sports Committee President Suresh Kalmadi. Just few days before the opening of the games this scandal became public and it remained as a black spot in the history of Indian sports. Not only that, a cobra (snake) was found in the accommodation of the foreign athletes, causing panic. This security failure caused embarrassment to India in International level.

 

 
Now the appearance of the Naga (cobra) and the accusation on Kalmadi with the multi crore scandal are being compared. Upon CBI enquiry, Kalmadi has now come out on bail after 10 months in jail. An astrologer has told him that, the anger of Naga deva is the reason for the multi crore rupees accusation on him and to indicate that the Naga had appeared during the games. So to set it right he will be conducting Nagamandala, a Pooja of the rich which is more in practice in Udupi – D.K. districts these days.

 
Costing about 10 – 20 lakhs rupees for this Pooja, already the preparations are in progress in Kalmadi, also a committee has been formed for this purpose. Kalmadi has even made a visit to his native place Kalmadi along with his wife secretly, couple of days ago. In this Nagamandala Pooja and other religious ceremonies which will take place for 4 days he will be arriving along with his whole family including his brothers and sisters and relatives.

 
Suresh Kalmadi was born in Kalmadi, his father Shyam Rao was a big land lord. Kalmadi’s education, work, political career, business were all done in Pune. His relatives are still in Kalmadi. They have renovated a temple in Kalmadi. In his native place there is high respect for his even today. He was born rich, there is no need for Kalmadi to make the scandal for money, he is innocent say many people in his native place.

 
So, is Kalmadi innocent? Will he get relived off the accusations after the Nagamandala seve? We have to wait and see.
