Udupi: Wilson Olivera releases his 6th Konkani Album

Udupi, 13 Jan 2012: Sangeeth Sardhar Wilson Olivera’s new Album (CD) Volume 6 entitled "Oh Mhojea Bhangara" was released here in Sasthan during 31st Wilson Olivera Nite held at Sasthan Church Ground. This CD consisting of 12 sentimental as well as pop songs was released by Fr Valerian Fernandes, Parish Priest of St Antony’s Church, Sastan, he was accompanied by Wilson Olivera & Family and Tarence Lewis and Family.

 

 

Being the first ever Konkani music album releasing in the year 2012, it would reach fans across India, Middle East and Great Britain. ‘Oh Mhojea Bhangara’ has alrady hit the stands in India and on 15th Jan 2012  will hit the stands in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait, Bahrain, Doha- Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Muscat, Israel, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Great Britain.  To reach the maximum Konkani audience this album is being dubbed in large volumes in two different countries, India and United Arab Emirates.

 

The lyrics and tunes for this new album are by Wilson Olivera Padukone, Music composed and arranged by Joel Pereira.  The CD has been recorded at Rajshri Studio, Calicut & CAD Media, Mangalore.

 

Well known signers; Rony D’cunha, Pradeep Pinto, Prashanth Pinto, Zeena Pereira and Babita Pinto have rendered their melodious voice in this album along with Wilson Olivera.

 

A year back, when Wilson Olivera bought out his 5th album, ‘Tuvem Gaitana’ which was dedicated to Konkan Kogul Late. Wilfy Rebimbus, it made a remarkable sale in Konkani music with a whopping sale of 3,500 cds in a span of two weeks and 5,783 cds in a year. The album became not only popular among Konkani music lovers in India but also in the Middle East and Great Britain. Its marketing strategy was well planned and was successful in reaching the maximum Konkani music loving audience.

 

Wilson Olivera has established himself as a rare singer and gained popularity in Konkani music world for his lyrics, tunes and melodious voice.
