Moodubelle: Cricket Tournament on 1 Jan 2012 for Dun Hill Trophy-2012

Moodubelle, 29 December 2011: The Dun Hill Cricketers and Moodubelle Junior Cricketers (MJC) will jointly organise a Cricket Tournament comprising of local teams for Dun Hill Trophy-2012 on January 1, 2012 from 8 am to 5 pm at the Guddabettu Cricket Ground.

 

According to the organisers, this Cricket Tournament is being organised in order to encourage young local cricket talents to develop their interest  in Cricket so that they can organise many more such tournaments in future.  

The organisers further informed that if there is sufficient sponsorship for this tournament, certain amount will be utilised to support the needy local families who do not have any means of support.

 

Maximum 12 local teams will participate in the Dun Hill Trophy-2012. The entry fee for each team will be Rs. 300/- The tournament  will be on the knock-out basis with limited overs. The Winning Team will be awarded a trophy and Rs. 3456/- in cash prize and Runners up Team will also get a trophy and Rs. 2345/- in cash prize.

 

As this Cricket Tournament is meant to promote local Cricket talents and to give assistance to the needy families,  the organisers hope that generous sponsors will come forward to support the twin cause of promting village game of cricket and encourage the local cricketing talents and also to give a helping hand to the needy families who do not have any means of financial resources.
