Kuwait: Kalanjali Dance Competition - Tharun Kumar is Judge

Kuwait, 02 November 2011: Kalanjali Kuwait is going to conduct on the occasion of Eid and Children’s Day, Dance competition on 10th Nov 2011 in Indian Community School - Khaitan Branch, Kuwait,   from 6.30 pm onwards.  B. H. Tharun Kumar, well known choreographer from Indian Film industry will be the Judge for the Dance Competition.

Tharun Kumar started his career as an Assistant Choreographer with his father Late Sri B Hiralal, who has choreographed for many Hindi movies including Guide, Tere Mere Sapne, Ganga Jamuna, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behethi Hai and Mera Naam Joker.

His father had also done choreographed for well known Tamil movies including Parasakthi, Raktha Kannir and Vanjikottai Valiban (for the well known song – Yaradi nee Mohini).

His father had also given choreography to many movies in Telugu and Kannada also.

Tharun Master, as he is popularly known, started his choreography career with Odissa and Bengali movies.

Later he entered Bollywood films with Eashwar and choreographed all the songs. Thereafter, he did choreography for other Hindi movies including Fatheh, Saugandh, Bol Radha Bol, Ainna, Daar, Raja Babu, Ankhen, Coolie No1, Hero No1, Banaras Babu, Bade Miyan Chotte Miyan and many other Hindi movies…

He is a very well known choreographer in South Indian films. Almost all the movies of Rajnikanth including Basha, Muthu, Padayyappa, Baba, Chandramukhi, Arunachalam have been done by him. Other movies in Tamil include Tenali, Silambatam and Mudalvan.

He received Nandi Award for his movies in Telugu.

Tharun Master has also directed few movies including - Nayee Padosan, Rafoo Chakkar, Love Ke Chakkar Mein, Ye- Phansa and Kaash Mere Hote.

Presently directing a movie in Hindi, which is a remake of Tamil, hit Chithiram Pesudhadi.

Competitions will be held under Classical Solo, Classical Group, Non-Classical Solo and Non-Classical Group.

Kalanjali Kuwait, also invites entries from children, who can exhibit their special talents.

We also plan to have many other cultural events on this occasion.
