Workshop on Corporate Integration at St Joseph’s Engineering College

Mangalore, 16 Sept 2011: A Workshop on Corporate Integration was held at St. Joseph’s Engineering College’s Bethania Hall for the MBA students on September 15, 2011. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Prakash Pinto, Dean of MBA Department, and Rev. Fr. Joseph Lobo, Director Designate. Mr Arun John Mathias, Electronic Engineer and eminent public speaker from Bangalore was the resource person.
Mr. Arun John Mathias started the session by narrating an anecdote highlighted the fact that a person or a team fails in an organization because of lack of proper communication or communication gap. He told that one’s higher objectivity should be leading the team in an efficient manner. There should be team work and participation. Listening to the diverse opinions helps in the growth of an organisation. Further, Mr. Mathias said that every organization has culture. Culture in an organization creates strong corporate identity, attracts and retains talent and creates energy and momentum. Building culture helps to develop a strong corporate identity, development, of important values, building healthy traditions, developing consent management practices and executive support. Mr. Mathias also spoke on Conflict and Stress Management.
Through personal experience and examples, Mr. Arun John Mathias made each and every session of the Workshop quite interesting and educative. All the student participants in all the sessions gained immensely from this Workshop. The entire faculty of MBA Department also present for all the sessions.
We had a wonderful workshop. It was worth attending. just loved it.... :)
