Jeekshith Kusumodara Shetty Selected as IBCCI Youth Coordinator

Mumbai, 08 Apr 2024: Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industries (IBCCI), a prestigious association of Bunts community businessmen, held its first IBCCI Youth Conference under the chairmanship of IBCCI Chairman K.C Shetty (Kutpady Chandra Shetty) at the Aden Banquet Hall of Hotel Suncity, Andheri East last Saturday evening. Jeekshith Kusumodhara Shetty was unanimously elected as the first coordinator of the IBCCI youth wing.

 

IBCCI Vice Chairman S.B Shetty, Secretary Srinath Shetty, Treasurer Prasad Shetty, Joint Secretary Srinivas Shetty, Joint Treasurer Nishit Shetty and Directors Bharat Shetty (Adhiti), Balakrishna Shetty, Pradeep Shetty and members were present as the first coordinator of the IBCCI Youth Wing. Jeekshith K.Shetty was elected unanimously.

 

IBCCI Vice Chairman S.B.Shetty conducted the selection process and among the office bearers, Chairman K.C.Shetty congratulated with Flower Bounque. Senior and Prestigious businessmen of the Bunts community such as Thonse Anand M. Shetty (Chairman,Organic Industries Private Limited), B.Vivek Shetty (Chairman. Vishwat Chemicals Limited), CA. N.B Shetty (Chairman, Triveni Group & Rupi Boss) And Chelladka Kusumodara Shetty (K.D. Shetty, Founder & Chairman, Bhavani Shipping Services India Pvt. JEEKSHITH KUSUMODARA SHETTY:

Jeekshit Kusumodara Shetty is the Son of Bhavani Shipping Service India Private Limited’s founder, Donor, a popular social worker, Chelladka K. D Shetty and Sarita Kusumodara Shetty. Cheladka Late Deranna Shetty and Nadumogaruguthu Late Bhavani Deranna Shetty’s grandson Jeekhshith K.Shetty is the Managing Director of Bhavani Shipping Service India Pvt Ltd and Director of Bhavani Shipping Line LLC (Dubai), President of Bhavani Foundation Navi Mumbai. Under the able guidance of his towering father, K.D Shetty, Chairman, Bhavani Group, Jeekhshith Shetty is today the Managing Director of the respected Bhavani Group.

 

The rise to the top rungs at the Bhavani Group for Jeekshith was purely on the dint of his impressive career and certainly not a handed down privilege. His foray into the shipping trade began at the ambitious age of 17 when he enrolled for the Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science from Glasgow, Scotland.  In the next two years, stepping on the threshold of youth at the age of 19,Jeekshithstrode the high seas onboard ships as a Deck Cadet. While completing his required sea time, he already held the coveted license of 2nd Mate Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency when he was 21 years old. Post five years of sailing experience majorly on Oil/Chemical Tankers, the maritime officer decided to head homeward and join the famed Bhavani Group to learn the tricks of the trade by the shores.

 

During his time as the Director, the company earned an enviable list of accolades for entrepreneurship, leadership and creativity that included, award for one of the Top 35 Fastest Growing Companies, presented by Mr. Giriraj Singh and Mr. Arun Kumar Panda, the Hon.Minister of State (I/C) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Bhavani Group was also presented with the ‘Leading Multimodal Logistics Company award’ by Economic Times (ET), Times Group. Later, Jeekhshith Shetty also featured on the cover page of the ‘India Sea trade Magazine’ as the face of the month, March 2021, for his exemplary work.

 

Keeping up with the legacy of the group, Jeekshith Shetty also got actively involved in the CSR initiatives of the company, under the banner of Bhavani Foundation. Bhavani Foundation is the organization’s non profitable charity trust formed in the year 2014. The Foundation aims to promote educational, medical, economic and social advancements.
