Udupi, 29 Feb 2024: Milagres College, Kallianpur, signed a unique MoU signed with ‘Bengre Bulls’ supported by ‘Radha Babu Kotian Foundation’ - February 28, 2024.
It’s an historical day in the life of Milgres College, Kallianpur Udupi said Dr Vincent Alva, the Principal of the college. He was speaking after signing a MoU with a renowned NGO the Radha Babu Kotian Foundation, Bengre an organisation serving the society in various ways especially in the field of sports in the AV Hall of the College at 10.30 am today.
Dr Alva, read out the contents of the MoU for the information of all gathered followed by the signing of the MoU by the Principal and President of Radha Babu Kotian Foundation.
In his presidential address Dr Vincent Alva, the Principal of the college said the MoU signed today stands out of all other MoU because the intention here is to help and serve the needy and make a difference in lives of needy sports persons. Dr Alva thanked the Bengre Bulls for coming forward to help the budding sports persons from the college. He called upon all the students to repay by excelling in their own respective field of sports.
Addressing the students Mr Raj Bengre, an alumnus from 1989 B.Com batch said along with classroom learning, sports prepare students to live life outside the college campus. There is no shortcut for anything in this world he stressed. He called upon the students to always become a champion, because once a champion, he is always a champion. Being humble and having a feeling of gratefulness will make a lot of difference he added to motivate students.
Mr Raj Bengre also released ‘Miracles’, the college magazine for the year 2023-24.
Dr Anusuya, the president of Bengre Bulls supported by Radha Babu Kotian Foundation called upon the students to inculcate the values for life which college is trying to teach along with the class room lessons. There are certain things which should be learnt in the college itself and no one will teach such values outside an educational institutions.
Mrs Deepthi, Vice President of the foundation, Mrs Sarita Alva, Project Manager, Planet Mars and Mrs Saroja from the Radha Babu Kotian Foundation were present.
Mrs. Sophia Dias, the vice Principal of the college spoke on the occasion and thanked the foundation for their nobility towards the college and its students. Mrs Annamma, HOD Dept of Economics, from the department of Commerce, Mrs Clara Menezes, Mrs Anupama Jogi, Mr Ravinandan Bhatt PRO and Mrs Chandrika and others were present.
Dr Jayaram Shettigar, the IQAC co-ordinator welcomed the gathering and Mrs Chaithra from the department of Commerce proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Prathima, from the department of English compeered the programme.
