Pumpwell Flyover works of poor quality; MLC Ivan urges NHAI to block payment of contractor

Mangaluru, 27 Apr 2020: MLC Ivan D’Souza alleged that Pumpwell Flyover, here that was inaugurated recently was of sub-standard quality and unscientific; a huge waste of taxpayers money. 

 

Despite the issue had been brought to the notice of both Public Works Department (PWD) and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) in the past; no corrective measures are being taken in this regard, alleged D’Souza.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Addressing the media persons, Ivan said, ‘Dakshina Kannada MP, local BJP leaders celebrated the inaugural of Pumpwell Flyover that took over 10 years to complete,’ said D’Souza.

 

 

Meanwhile, Ivan lodged complaints with both PWD and NHAI not to release the payment to the contractor as the work is sub-standard quality and unscientific.  He urged them to publish the cost of the contract and payments made so far.
