Pernankila: Milk Cooperative’s new building ‘Punyakoti’ inaugurated

Moodubelle, 12 June 2011: Pernankila Milk Producers Cooperative Society’s new building named ‘Punyakoti’  at Angarkatte was inaugurated by Lalaji R. Mendon, MLA of Kaup on Saturday, 11 June 2011 at 4 pm. The inauguration function    was presided over by Raviraj Hegde, President of Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers federation, Mangalore. The store room in the building was inaugurated by Swikar Shankar Nayak, Managing Director of  Udbhav Private Limited, Udupi.

 

The inauguration function was formally started by lighting the lamp by Lalaji R. Mendon, Fr. Joswey Fernandes and other dignitaries on the dais. Fr. Joswey Fernandes delivered ‘Ashirvachan’.  During the function, Commodore Jerome Castelino was honoured for getting 90 toilets constructed through the Lions Club of Moodubelle with the financial assistance provided by the former Vice Chancellor of MAHE, Dr. B.M. Hegde in the villages of Pernankila, Vorwadi, Padubettu and Kajarigutthu.  Henry Fernandes  was also honoured for his efforts in getting the new building of the cooperative constructed.  Lalaji R. Mendon also unveiled the marble plank with the names of the donors to the building.

 

 

The guests present for the inauguration function included directors of the Dakshina Kannada  Cooperative Milk Producers Federation-Diwakara Shetty, Mrs. Janaki hande and Mukunda Nayak, D. Shankara, Manager of the  Milk producers Cooperative Society of Manipal,  Dr. Anil Kumar Shetty, Assistant Manager, Devdas Hebbar, President of Udupi Taluk Panchayat, Upendra Nayak, President of the udupi Zilla Panchayat Social Justice Department,  Keshav Gowda, Director of Shri kshetra Dharmasthala Gram abhivruddhi Yojane, Mrs. Sunita Naik, member of Udupi Taluk Panchayat, Sundara Poojary, President of Kodibettu Grama Panchayat, H.B. Mahadevappa,  Mrs. Geeta nayak and Dr. Priyatarshini, Veterinary Doctor.

 

Mrs. Irene Fernandes, President of the Pernankila Women Milk Producers Cooperative Society welcomed the guests, Umesh nayak compeered the programme and Henry Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.
