Udupi: Family of four ends life at Padubelle

Udupi, 13 Jul 2017: Family of four ends life by consuming Cyanide at Padubelle.

 

It is reported that Shanker Acharya (50), wife Nirmala Acharya (44), and daughters Shruthi (23) and Shreya(22) allegedly committed suicide by consuming Cyanide on Wednesday night at their residence.

 

 

On Thursday, when the door remained closed for long, the neighbors suspected and knocked the door and when they did not get any response from inside, they broke open the door.

 

The exact reason for the suicide is not yet known. However, sources say that Shanker had incurred heavy losses in his business which could have been the reason for the family to take this extreme step.

 

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and a case has been registered on the case.
