Bantwal: RSS activist Sharat, critical in miscreants attack passes away

Bantwal, 07 Jul 2017: Twenty-eight-year old RSS activist Sharat, a resident of Kandoor in Sajipa Munnoor village, near here, who was critically injured in a miscreants attack on Tuesday, July 4, breathed his last in a private hospital at Mangaluru, on Friday, July 7 night.
Sharat is the only son of Taniappa Madiwala who was running Udaya Laundry at B C Road, here. He had taken over the laundry recently, and had cordial relations with all shopkeepers nearby.
A group of 3 men hit Sharat with sword and stabbed, whilst he was working in his laundry at B C Road, here, on July 4. The nearby shopkeeper Abdul Rauf and Praveen took Sharat who was lying in pool of blood to private hospital at Thumbay, here. He was later admitted in a private hospital for higher treatment at Mangaluru.
The doctors kept close watch on the health of Sharat since he was admitted at ICU unit, but passed away on Friday evening, said hospital sources.
The mortal remains of Sharat will be taken to Kandoor, from the hospital on Saturday, July 8 morning, to hold the last rite, said BJP leader Rajesh Naik.
IGP Harishekaran, SP Sudhir Kumar Reddy, ASP designated Vishnuvardan are leading the security arrangements across the taluk.
