Mumbai: Bantara Sangha distributes scholarship to community students

Mumbai, 01 Jul 2017: Bunts community is leading in hotel industry who has taken holistic stance on hospitality to become successful restaurateurs/hoteliers with group of hotels in Mumbai. They succeeded because of hard work and risk-taking nature. They immensely contributed for the growth of Mumbai and to empower their community educationally and economically, said Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.
CM Fadnavis was speaking during the distribution of scholarship to hundreds of Bunts community that was organized by Bantara Sangha Mumbai®, at Raadhabai T Timmappa Bhandary auditorium of Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East), here, on Thursday, June 29. The scholarship was sponsored by Charisma Builders managing director Sudhir V Shetty, in memory of Vasu K Shetty.
Bantara Sangha president Prabhakar L Shetty presided the programme. Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inaugurated the programme. Mumbai north MP Gopal C Shetty was the chief guest of the occasion.
Charisma Builders managing director Sudhir V Shetty, Tunga Group of Hotels managing director Sudhakar S Hegde, Bengaluru-based MRG Group managing director Korangrapady Prakash M Shetty was the guest of honor.
The scholarship was distributed to hundreds of students of community and also widows pensions.
In his presidential address, Prabakar Shetty said that Bantara Sangha has been distributing scholarship annually to the tune of Rs 1.5 crore, in order to help the community students to continue their studies.
Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty delivered the preliminary addresss and welcomed the gathering. Shailaja A Shetty rendered the prayers. The honorary treasurer chartered accountant I R Shetty, Jaya A Shetty, Vijeta S Shetty and Ashok Pakkala compered the programme. The honorary general secretary Ultoor Mohandas Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
