Udupi: Sharline D’Sa from Belman parish elected President of Diocesan ICYM

Udupi, 21 Jun 2017: Sharline D’Sa from Belman parish of Shirva deanery, near here was elected as the president of Udupi diocesan Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) during the annual general body meeting held at Don Bosco Hall of Mother of Sorrows church, here on Sunday, June 18.
The annual general body meeting was held under the leadership of Loyal D’Souza, past president of diocesan ICYM. Later, the session continued to the election of office bearers for the year 2017-18. A session on ‘social sensitization’ was conducted by Dr Vincent Alva, principal, Milagres College, Kallianpur, here.
Karnataka regional youth director, Fr Anil Jacob D’Sa celebrated the Thanksgiving Mass on the occasion.
The diocesan youth director Fr Edwin D’ Souza presided oath taking ceremony to the new office bearers.

Former president Loyal D’Souza welcomed the gathering while the newly elected president Sharline D’Sa delivered the vote of thanks. Lavita Pinto, Gangolli compered the entire programme. Around 132 youth were present on the occasion.
