Bellevision Bahrain organizes much-awaited Swimming Pool Picnic

Bahrain, 21 Jun 2017: The much-awaited outdoor event in the annual program list of Bellevision Bahrain is the swimming pool picnic. Even though the temperatures outside soured, a cool dip in the pool helped to forget that it is peak summer. The members and children enjoyed the day at Baba city, Riffa on Friday, June 16.

 

The members arrived to the venue by 9.00am. Alfreeda Castelino managed the registration counter. A warm welcome was extended by president Joel D’Sa followed by opening prayer and safety instructions.

 

 

Naveen Mendonca, sports secretary along with his wife Judith Mendonca were well prepared with new innovative games and were assisted by Steven Lobo in executing them. Swimming relay by exchanging the shorts for adults, bursting of the balloon in the pool, cucumber on forehead for ladies, bombing the cities in the pool, ball throw etc was well enjoyed by the adults. Children were happy picking and collecting maximum number of balls and filling the water to the bottle using coconut shell. Individual winners and teams were given prizes that were sponsored willingly by some of our members.

 

Breakfast and delicious lunch was arranged through Mother’s Restaurant. Watermelon, which was sponsored by Arun Castelino was a special treat to all to quench the thirst. Soft drinks throughout the day were sponsored by Walter Lobo.

 

President thanked all those who helped in arranging the event and also expressed his thanks to each and everyone for their continuous support and participation in making this day an enjoyable one.
