Salman Khan joins civic drive to make Defecation Free Mumbai

Mumbai, 10 Jun 2017: Salman Khan, BMC chief Ajoy Mehta, Rahul Kanal’s ‘I love Mumbai’ Foundation Shekhar Tolani of ‘Sahib Reality’ and ‘Sach Ishan’ joined hands to make Mumbai open defecation free.
You make Mumbai beautiful only when you take concrete steps to toward that. It seems so with the BMC’s open defecation- free campaign making the vital differences. As a part of said campaign, actor Salman Khan and BMC Chief Ajoy Mehta, powered by Rahul Kanal’s ‘I love Mumbai’ Foundation, Shekhar Tolani of ‘Sahib Reality’ and ‘Sach Ishan’ handed over the ‘Public Utility Toilets’ at Madras Pada, Aarey Milk Colony to the residents of Madaraspada villagers to combat its open defecation problems.
Madaraspada is a small village near film city in Goregaon (East) with a population of 3000 people, mostly poor laborers. Salman Khan, powered by ‘I Love Mumbai’ Foundation, Shekhar Tolani of Sahib Reality and Sach Ishan, took up the initiative of providing 20 toilets with water connection at the location along with the BMC. Now, 1500 liters storage tank and a bore well renovated with a new compressor has been installed with an approximately 700 ft running pipeline.
Shekhar Tolani of ‘Sahib Reality’ said, ‘Eliminating open defecation is the main aim of improving access to sanitation in the city and particular areas and is a proposed indicator for sustainable development goals. We at Sahib Reality take an oath to take every necessary precaution in order to eradicate defecation in open areas. Slowly and gradually we along with Rahul Kanal- I Love Mumbai Foundation, BMC chief Ajoy Mehta, Sach Ishan and Salman Khan are working towards bringing a change.’
