Udupi: 32-feet high monolithic sculpture of Madwacharya erected at Kunjarugiri

Udupi, 28 Mar 2017: Thirty-two-feet high monolithic sculpture of Madwacharya was erected at Kunjarugiri hillock of Durgadevi temple, near here on Monday, March 27. The sculpture was carved out of a single boulder that was laid on 8-feet-high pedestal using cranes by the professional movers. It was the pet project of Swami Vidyadisha of Palimar mutt, here.
Divan Venkataramana Mucchintaya of Adamar mutt, Divan Vedavyasa Tantri of Palimar mutt, engineers Raghavendra Rao, Nagaraj Ballal, Laxminarayan Upadhyaya and Rajendra Mattu, Udupi Tahsildar Prakaschandra, former MLA Lalaji R Mendon, and others were present.
