Mangaluru: Sunni Jamaat of Rehman Masjid, Padil distributes fruits to poor

Mangaluru, 11 Feb 2017: Sunni Jamaat of masjid Rehman, Padil, here distributed fruits to inpatients of state-run hospital, old age homes, orphanages and inmates of special school in city on Friday, February 10. It was held as memorial of Shaikh Refai, who was known for helping poor and lowly in his lifetime.
The fruits were distributed to inpatients of DK district Wenlock Hospital and Lady Goschen Hospital, Eshwaranand Balikashram, Bhagini Samaj – Jeppu, Samvedana orphanage, Zeenat Buksh Yatim Khana, Sanjeev Bai old age home, Karunamayi old age home and differently-abled children of Sanidya Special School.
Speaking on the occasion, Imam Hafil Anas Ahsani Nelyady of Sunni Jamaat said that Shaikh Refai was a philanthropist and succor of downtrodden. His good deeds are followed in helping the poor and less-fortunate in society.
The Jamaat president Haji Abdul Hamid Karavali, vice president Haji Shakir Ahmed Haisam, Haji Abdul Latif Golden, treasurer E K Rafiq Kannur, Sayyed Ashraf, Sayyed Isaac Tangal Ujire, Shafi Nagori, Haji D K Ahmed Bawa, Mansoor and others were present.
