Mangaluru, 05 Feb 2017: The valedictory function of 3-day Aloysian Fest of St Aloysius College, here was held at Mother Teresa Peace Park, here on Saturday, February 4 at 3.30pm.
Chandrasekhar Rao, general manager, Karnataka Bank was the chief guest.
‘By birth every individual has got some qualities; some may be good in academic qualifications and others may be in other activities,’ said Rao emphasizing on how every individual has his or her own caliber. But he also opined how today’s young generation has hardly any time to focus on any artistic endeavors and thus fests help bring their talents to the limelight. Similarly if you as students are able to place yourself in a proper place-we shine,’ said Fr Swebert D’Silva in his presidential address. He also congratulated all the staff and student coordinators for putting forth such an event which develops self-confidence, creativity and overall persona in an individual. ‘Once we start believing in ourselves we can do great things and once we start believing in our group we can do wonders,’ he quoted highlighting the importance of teamwork. Concluding, he reminded it’s not enough to win prizes but we all must be loving people too.
