Puttur: SDM College of Business Mgmt, overall champions at Ambiora-2017

Puttur, 02 Feb 2017: St Philomena College, department of commerce, here organized an inter-collegiate Commerce Fest, Ambiora – 2017, at their College auditorium, on Wednesday, February 1.
Bhaskara Rai, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), Puttur Division inaugurated the Fest and said, ‘Soft skills must be acquired by each and every student in the institutions of higher learning without which, the student is regarded as incompetent in the real world.’
Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, campus director was the chief guest. In his address he said, ‘We must use our energy for constructive purpose.’
Professor Leo Noronha, principal of the College in his presidential address said, ‘Creativity is more important than knowledge.’
Professor Maxim Carl, head of department was present.
Dr Herbert Nazareth, convener of the Fest welcomed the gathering. Abhishek Padiyar, student co-ordinator proposed the vote of thanks. Pavana compered the programme.
Ambiora - 2017 consisted of Who am I?, Product Launch, The Best Manager, The Business Quiz, and Finance. The students from 11 colleges affiliated to Mangalore University have participated in these events.
In valedictory function, Professor Leo Noronha felicitated the prize winners.
SDM College of Business Management, Mangaluru bagged the overall championship and Canara College, Mangaluru secured the runner up trophy.
