Spoken English course inaugurated at St Philomena College

Puttur, 05 Jan 2017: Under the auspices of Planning Forum of postgraduate department of economics, St Philomena College, Spoken English Training was inaugurated at seminar hall, here on Wednesday, January 4.
The director of VETA Centre, Moodbidri Sulatha Prabhakar inaugurated the course and said, ‘India is a land of diversity. Different people speak different languages and English language serves as a link language in the country.’
The chairperson of Centre for PG Studies and Research Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his presidential address said, ‘Learning is an art. It comes from interest and hard work. We have taken policies and culture from other countries. But we have failed in taking their language.’
The co-ordinator of the department Professor Dinakara Rao, VETA counselor Prajwala Das, convener of Planning Forum Pradeep K S and Assistant Professor Mahitha Kumari M were present on this occasion.
Shobhitha and group rendered the prayer song. Assistant Professor Sandhya H welcomed the gathering. Rakesh Naik K proposed the vote of thanks. Pavithra P compered the programme.
