Chartered Accountants Francin Shiny and Roy Allan Feted during Old Students Association program in S

Shirva/Manchakal, 12 Dec 2016: The recently passed Charted Accountants i.e. students of Shirva St. Mary’s College Miss Francin Shiny Menezes and Ms. Roy Allan Mathias were felicitated during the annual program of St. Mary’s Old Students Association on 10th December 2016. Also honoured on the occasion were Ms. Irene Pinto – Retired Teacher (St. Mary’s High School) for her selfless service to the institution.

 

Mr. Norbert Machado, President of Alumni association accorded a warm welcome to the honorary guests on dais namely; Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro (Correspondence, St. Mary’s Educational Institutions), Honorary Chief Guest of the day Dr. Prakash Shetty (Old student St. Mary’s PU College and also District Commandant of the Home Guards, Udupi District), Ms. Irene Mendonsa (Principal, St. Mary’s Jr. College) and Mr. K.R. Patkar (Secretary Alumni Association). He also highlighted the various activities taken up by the association during the last year.

 

After the felicitation program the chief guest Dr. Prakash Shetty addressed the gathering. While addressing the audience Fr. Tauro said that the door of the St. Mary’s College or School open to all regardless of caste or religion. If there is any child that is kept behind for lack of money for the education they need to worry, bring your child and we take care of him/her he assured.

 

 

Ms. Irene Pinto (Retired Teacher) who was felicitated on the auspious occasion expressed her feelings and shared a few memories of her during her tenure. She thanked the alumni association for this honou and wished them all the best in future and appreciated their love and affection towards her.

 

Mr. K.R. Patkar (Secretary) proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Denis Mathias competed the stage program.

 

After the stage program completed a few dances were presented by current and old students of the association and finally a wonderful tulu drama “Aal Ennal“ was staged the members of the Alumni Association.
