Qatar: KTC to host Kundapura Trophy -2016 on Nov 17

Doha/Qatar, 12 Nov 2016: Kundapura Taluk Cricketers, newly-formed cricket association host to conduct its first ever tournament at Old Ideal Indian School ground, here on Thursday, November 17.

 

The draw ceremony of the tournament has been held on at old Mazza Restaurant, here on November 9. This year Doha’s 8 esteemed teams will be going to compete for the prestigious trophy. The team captains and team managers were present on the occasion.

 

The program was begun with recitation of Quran by Intiqab Alam.  Asmath Ali addressed the welcome keynote and Mubarak proposed the vote of thanks.

 

The organizing Committee members Shezad, Ifthikar, Inteqab Alam, Shameer, Mubarak and Arshad escorted the main sponsor Akbar from Namco Builders and Developers, Iqbal from Qatar Freelance Group of Companies, co-sponsors - Sharath from M Pallonji, Asmath Ali from Golden Trading & Decorations, Mukhtar from Office Solutions, Fayaz Ahmed C from Alzaman Exchange to the stage.

 

 

Unveiling of the tournament brochure and Trophy has been conducted during the ceremony.  Community leaders TKQ president Ravi Shetty, KSQ president H K Madhu, KMCA president Niyaz Ahmed, MCC president Prakash Noronha, ICC secretary Divakar Poojary, Milan Arun, Subramanya Hebbagilu, Deepak Shetty, Sanjay Kudri were present on the occasion.

 

Ravi Shetty, Niyaz Ahmed. HK Madhu, Prakash Noronha,  Deepak Shetty and Milan Arun speaking on the occasion wished the KTC organisers for success of the event. Surender read out rules and regulations of the tournament. Tufail Mateen compered the event.

 

The teams are divided into 2 pools A & B. The knockout matches would played between teams and best 4 teams will be elected to semi finals. The finals will be played on 19th November.
