Bantwal: CM Siddaramaiah offers unto society newly-built Bantara Bhavana

Bantwal, 31 Oct 2016: The newly-built ultramodern Bantara Bhavana in Bantwal taluk is not being found in Indian metros. It was possible because of the wealthy in Bunts community that is empowered socially, educationally and economically is adventurous indeed, said CM Siddaramaiah.
CM Siddaramaiah was speaking after inaugurating newly-built Bantara Bhavan on the shore of Netravati River at Valavoor, in the limits of Thumbay gram panchayat, near here on Sunday, October 30.
He also announced state funds of Rs 1 crore for Bantara Bhavan on the same occasion after conveying best wishes of Deepavali.
Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Padmavibhushana D Veerendra Heggade offered unto society newly-built Bantara Bhavana.
Bantara Sangha – Bantwal president Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty presided the programme.
Swami Gurudevanand of Odiyoor, Bantara Yane Nadavara Matra Sangha president Ajit Kumar Malady inaugurated the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Veerendra Heggade said, ‘If one thinks society forms part of an individual, communal harmony thrives. Bunts are the forbearers of Tulunadu culture. They are known to have far reaching goals. Many of the brethrens of Bunts community migrated to Mumbai, undergone hardships to become successful entrepreneurs. Despite their success, they have never forgotten their homelands. They foster Karnataka culture despite they thrive in Mumbai. Perhaps the Land Tribunal Act indeed worked as boon to Bunts community to strive to reach greater heights. They are the gems in the crown of motherland Tulunadu, said Heggade.
Bantara Sangha Mumbai honorary general secretary Ultoor Mohandas Shetty, entrepreneurs Kishan J Shetty and Santosh D Shetty Navi Mumbai were also present.
A colorful procession of headload offerings to the venue was held on Saturday, October 29 evening.
Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty welcomed the gathering and delivered the preliminary address. The Bunts girls of Farangipet presented the prayers. B Devdas Shetty and Ashok Pakkala Mumbai compered the programme. The secretary Chandrahas D Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
